vacuum line removal

ok, i just started doing head gaskets on my 92 turbo wagon. the vacuum lines on this car are ridicules, is there any proven way to cut down on the pipes with out side effects. i'm just interested in simplifying the setup with out messing any thing up(don't want a cel/hesitation etc).

They're actually not that complicated compared to a lot of other cars. But anyway --

Bad things happen when you remove vacum lines that are mean't to be there......
