You didn't exactly frame your question in a way that'd make it easily answerable, but I'll take a shot...

Charge the battery, change the oil, check the other fluids, pump up the tires, and start it?

Maybe even drain out the tank.

sorry I should of been more clear, I am concerned with the turbo and the awd, is the drivetrain reliable on this vehicle? it has about 85000 miles on it. hat type of preventative maintenance can I do on the turbo?

85 thousand miles is nothing on these cars.

The drivetrain is reliable. We've seen very few failures on cars that weren't modified to produce a lot more torque than they did from the factory.

The only preventative maintenance I can think of for the turbocharger is changing the oil every 3000 miles with a good synthetic lube.

How long has the car been sitting?

The turbo is lubricated by the engine oil. Simply changing your oil and filter is the only 'service' you can do to the turbo.

I drove my car for the first time today. It was running fine the it started cutting out when I pressed the gas pedal down too far. if i just barley push the pedal it works fine, but if i go too far it just craps out, now it has a loud valve tap all the sudden, has plenty of oil.

Sounds like it's either in test mode or that it's got an active trouble code for pressure sensing or boost control.

Sounds like you need to do the plugs and wires. The tapping is just lifters sticking. What oil did you use? Was it 5w-30?

I was told I should use 10-30 but I havent done an oilchange yet I just picked up the car 2 days ago. Its going to the shop tomorrow for an oil change and a tune. I replaced the air filter and the plugs with ngk v- powers and found an broken vacuum line that I fixed. the car ran like a champ all day today then it started cutting out again. now I am confused and pissed off. I thought I had it licked.

ok, so after today this oil change you should do it yourself, since you're doing all this other work. it will end up saving you some good cash.

if it's not too late get amsoil or royal purple.
you could use fully synthetic, but your car is only 30% done with  so i wouldn't worry about it that much.

#2 hows that O2 sensor doing, i know when i replaced mine it was a whole new machine. so that if you havn't already and let us know

Search then search some more... Lots of good info around this place!

Have you pulled the codes? How about reset the ECU?

could be knock sensor or Pressure sensor/pressure exchange solenoid?
(thats what it was for my car! now I run WGB)

+1 for doing your own oil change.

Stick with it man and good luck!!

On the cutting out issue when you get into the throttle too much,

Check and make sure your vacuum lines are hooked up where they should be. One of my lines got inadvertently pulled off going to the devices behind the airbox and that is exactly what my car did. It would run fine around town and I didn't know there was a problem until I tried to get onto the highway which required more throttle opening and at a certain point it would fall on it's face.
