Climate control wierd noise...(ac and heat-93 legacy)

When I turn on my heat or AC, there is a very strange noise that comes from under the hood. Its similiar to a semi-truck using its jake-brake, but not as loud. At first i suspected the AC compressor but it makes the same noise with the heater on. It will make the noise every 10-15 seconds or so...pretty strange noise.
Anyone experience this or know what I'm talking about? Any certain thing i should be looking for? TIA

Probably the AC compressor or the fans?

You say you get the same noise with the heater on -- is the defrost also on?
Cuz it really sounds like the air conditioning compressor.
If it happens in HEAT, BILEV, or VENT, then it's not the compressor. Probably. Otherwise it is.

what do you mean by the fans? like they are hitting something? explain please.
(i had the defrost on this morning and it was doing it, also did it with the AC on...not positive about the other levels.)

the other thing i considered was maybe the blower motor...is that very common on these cars??
