I know mine doesn't auto up. Then again the first time I even saw auto up was on my GF's Volks rabbit 07. I've had several subies, never auto up. Maybe the canadian laws are different about auto up.

Check to make sure none of the other switches are stuck in an up/down position.

Whenever I roll up my passenger's side rear window the switch likes to get stuck in the up position. Then when I try to use my auto-up feature it doesn't work until I 'unstick' the other switch.

'94 lost the auto up feature.

My '93 SS Sedan has it, another local member's '94 SS Sedan does not. :-D

From what I hear, Subaru figured it was a safety issue to have the auto-up...so it was discontinued for 94.

90-93 models have auto-up and auto-down, and 94 models only have auto-down. The 90-93 main switch part number is 83081AA050, and the 94 main switch is part number 83081AA100.

If you swap in a switch from/for a 90-93, you can give a 94 auto-up.

I bet your daughter's car has had its master window switch replaced at some point, kleinkid.

Wussy safety bastards! Teach the kids not to hang their heads out the driver's window (why are they doing that anyway?). I hate leaving tolls in the rain or extreme cold while driving a stick and having to hold the damn switch to raise the window in the Mazda. The Legacy was great - I could actually drive the car and watch the other lanes of traffic merging back in.

I was wrong. My daughters '94 does not have auto up, just down. My son-in-laws '91 l does have auto up and down.
