As a former electronics junkie, I thought this was interesting.
Common? Car was pre-facelift in a U-pull type of yard.

Not common, but available until 94.
Well, doubt the external cassette player was available until then especially in a turbo due to the CD player. But you could get them with the equalizer.

My first Legacy was a '90 L and it actually had two way front speakers. I couldn't believe it.

the cable on the back of the stock stereo i think,
AUX?

on 2nd thought, i think that there might be an open port/cable input in the front of the stock stereo.
my car was ICED out so i don't have the stock business anymore

There was on the SS stereo/CD.

I believe only the 90-91 MY's had the aux jack on the front of the stereo. I think it was only on the 1.5 DIN stereos though.

My 91 had the aux jack, but my 93 didn't.
