Thanks for the info! Thats definitely helpful and reassuring!

So this is a 2.5l block, 2.5na head with Ver4 components, and custom pistons? Do know what CR you are running?

Yes the MAF is going to be your limiter and I will bet it will be @ less than 18 psi with the increased displacement, better heads and bigger turbo. I would start at 12psi work your way up while monitoring MAF voltage. I assume you are running the green label MAF correct?

For the injectors I only support the 525 yellow STI injectors. I don't have a tune for anything larger (since the MAF is the first bottleneck).

In addition to that you will need to find a solution for the ignition conversion, either my 4to2 converter or the dual igniter method.

So in short my "550" tune with the matching components will run you up to the limits of the MAF and is good for 340 crank HP on the 2.0l. Now, with your hybrid setup, I am not exactly sure how the results will look or where you will run out of headroom.

nice car smh, for a min i thought it was my car... :P
i was using those LGT wheels a few yrs back, then it started to be a thing so i got rid of em.
mines in the strip down stages... then building back up piece by piece.

last engine I had built was using manley pistons 8.5:1 and manley I beam rods w/ cosworth bearings (the acl's didnt last to long)... new 257 block and crank from the dealer... then I sleeved the block.
you dont need cams, keep them stock so its easy to idle/drive. 400hp is a handfull anyway for a daily.
and yes, custom tune to finish the job.

Its funny because I've been thinking the same thing lol. Maybe I'll switch back to some 06/07 WRX wheels or just pony up the cash and find a set of silver bbs'

Looks like I'll be getting an ej20h shortblock to run for awhile as a temporary solution. 300 plus shipping.

Then I can sell a complete ej20h long block after the build is done 8)

New block is ordered and on its way. Just bought that 20h motor to drop in temporarily... Its kinda had to take the backseat as far as priorities due to a series of unfortunate events... But never fear! She will be resurrected by the second week of August!

Update!

Car is in the shop. Engine pulled, disassembled. Bearing was pretty bad didnt bother to split that block though. The heads are being sent off to be cleaned and decked. I'm having them put in a set of 550cc injectors (waiting for them to get back to me and let me know if they have a set I can buy or if I need to buy a set). Along with the robtune chip I bought.

Can't wait to get it back! Should be done in a few weeks.

I'll have the car back by the end of the week assuming start-up goes as planned! Just waiting on getting my EPROM back so I can give the ecu to the shop doing all the work.

Car has been up and running for the last few months however a friend of mine (who in reality is probably a better driver than me, he has two mini cooper s' and regularly participates in local auto and track cross, he's also let me put one of his mini's around PittRace before) put it into a wall. Mangled the front bumper and tweaked the front core support. Also took out a lot of the front suspension.

So I replaced the front cross member with one off of a Ver 9 Spec-C STi (has crazy amounts of extra bracing), a new steering rack from an 05 STi, 21mm Swaybar off of an STi, and control arms from a bugeye that had 20k miles on them.

Car feels fantastic now, much more solid and responsive.

However I still have some body work to do. I'm going to have a shop straighten out the core support and then I need to figure out what to do with paint. I could just have the new fender and bumper cover repainted white. The whole front end realistically needs painted but I'm not in a spot to afford all that right now.

I've been looking into some other options. I've seen some pretty nice work done with plasti dip if its applied properly with a good quality spray gun. Thinking of doing something like a white pearl and if I don't like it I can always peel it off.

Any thoughts?
