Hi all,

I have a 2.2 L NA engine.

I'm tearing apart my engine and putting it back together with new gaskets to try to hunt down a leak. While putting it back together and getting ready to put on the timing belt, I noticed the driver's side camshaft and sprocket is a lot harder to turn than the passenger's side; although they both turn. Is this normal or should I go back and check my work?

Yeah, depending on where the cam is, it will be more difficult to turn. When aligning the timing belt, the passenger side is at a spot where it turns pretty freely, and the driver's side is more difficult. It's probably between lobes.
