I will be ordering a front swaybar in the next few months and had a couple of questions. I currently have a Whiteline 20mm adjustable rear swaybar with HD endlinks and GR2 struts with H&R springs.

Basically I would like to know if I should go for the 20mm or 22mm front bar and which will give me the best combo of reduced body roll and neutral cornering. I'm thinking 22mm might be too much. I'm just trying to understand what will evoke under or oversteer.

Also, I was going to replace the front endlinks but can't really afford the HD ones again. Any opinions on the standard endlinks? Anything is probably better than the plastic on there now. Thanks for the input.

I general terms, stiffer means less traction. Hows your F/R balance now? A bigger front bar will tend towards more understeer.

But if the current roll rate allows for enough suspension travel to add significant positive camber on the outside wheel, a stiffer front bar could add traction. It can get complicated.

I'll say this....I think ciper or someone else made mention to it. Adding a front bar adds understeer. In theory that is the case, but reducing body roll does help as well.

I fealt that adding the front bar did help with the handling of the car.

Yeah, I guess the increased understeer makes sense. My primary concern is taming body roll as I never push the suspension to the limit.

you can get a 20mm front bar from a wrx wagon for like $40.

If you spend most of your time on road I'd suggest going for the 22mm. Plus you'll be able to dial it back if you go adjustable. The adjustable bars are also more likely to be in stock in the US.

Any place like racecomp engineering or turn in concepts should be able to get you the bars. When I ordered some bushings through racecomp they were drop shipped from global performance but cost less that what's listed on the global performance site.
