How did you pay Frank?

PayPal.
I notified them about a week ago when things started to go bad, not sure if they can help me or not. They said that if he cleaned out his account before the complaint then I was on my own. They could not tell me if he still had the money in PayPal because that was his personal information. I have his address and am willing to post it if it does not get resolved. He is in GA.

Not yet, and not unless I get an okay from the administration.

That's unbelievable. That block is complete garbage. Just to sell that alone would prove him a scammer. Man, NASIOC is full of douches.

If you're interested, I could sell you a long block+ (intake to turbo) that's fairly clean (as in it's a little greasy, not rusted and busted). Has 173k on it as far as I know. I don't know what shipping costs or any of that, but let me know if you need it. Now that the weather's turning nice, I could roll the dead car out of the garage to get the extra engine out of there (presently sits on a stand).

Shitty deal Frank, this is just the sort of thing I expect from NASIOC :x Its just one of the many reasons why I really appreciate this forum.

Hmmm, I don't have any "friends" in Georgia, but I do know a retired LTC that was involved in PsyOps that lives near Atlanta. He, too, is not someone who you would want asking questions, or showing up at your door. I'll ask him if he would be interested in doing a little recon and interdiction.

Tough deal Frank. I hate to see good people get shat upon.

I was asking for the address post because I am in GA for another week.

But I understand playing it that way.

Side note - What would be worse? Flipping a guy's car upside-down or stealing all the lug nuts and watching how far he got?

I reserve in a special place (1) M-80 in which I would duct tape a case of Great Stuff cans to and toss in some asshat's car. I think the concussion would shatter the windows anyway, but you'd never, EVER be able to dig out a completely filled and hardened interior full of that shit.

wow dude that block is pretty much not pnp. looks like one of my dads old delivery motors thats served purpose of about 250k miles and been put out back for the past 5 years. plus on top of that not contacting you about the shipment nor even sending you the 2nd block. good luck getting your money back man.

I think a flipped car would be worse. Just my opinion. I've had an itchin' to flip a car lately, I can't explain it.

Hahaha.

Lets hope you get that refund. Sketchy sellers always use the "busy" excuse but the fact of the matter is if you're selling something and want to be able to sell more stuff in the future then you stay on top of your sale especially in a forum like NASIOC where things move quickly. No excuse.

so you're getting the refund? That's one ugly block.

He's been playin' that "busy" excuse pretty tough. It's almost like there is a mini-war going on in that thread albeit no violent (yet). There are the LC people backing up BB (as well as a few NASIOC people) and then people that "know" him.

I also have to agree that that block is whack. Good luck getting your money back BB.

Paypal can be so shitty at times. That is why I pay for my paypal transactions with my credit card through them so if someone is going to get stiffed and it is not the scammer who has my money it is paypal.

Ditto! I use credit card instead of pulling funds from my bank account almost exclusively.
