Grease Pen Paint

Got a new hood off a Junkyard LS wagon so I can install my '02 WRX scoop without cutting my virgin factory hood. Correct color! Bonus!
Anyways, they scribbled serial numbers all over it with grease pens.
Any easy way to get this stuff off or just Elbow grease and a 3m pad?
