Anyone know the differences between the torque converters for the turbo auto tranny vs. the NA version.

I bought a used tranny for a 92 turbo wagon...but it didn't come with the matching torque converter....I have one from a NA legacy.

lol I was going to suggest one is push and one is pull but that applies with a clutch not torque converter. I am sure the turbo one is more beafier considering the turbo motor produced more torque and power in general earlier.

About the only thing I can tell you is the part is different, but should be swappable.

The amount of abuse required to damaged a torque converter is well beyond what any normal transmission can handle..... and in most cases, well beyond what normal cars can even dish out I would think. I've only heard of week torque converter problems on drag-racers..... so if it fits, durability shouldn't be a problem unless you've got pretty big plans for it.
