Hi

My auto tranny is making a moderate rattling noise when i'm driving and have a small amount of gas appplied. If i take my foot off the gas or accelerate it disapears. Any ideas or cheap ways to fix it? The car has a fair amount of miles and after just installing new struts and springs i don't want to sink any more money in it quite yet.

It's probably the exhaust heat shield. Put the car on jack stands or ramps, get under there and try wiggling banging on the heat shields to see if they are loose.
