Hey guys...I know it ain't a Sube...but for those of you who like rock-solid reliable commuters that get great mpg, this is for you.
I don't have pics yet...but I have for sale a beautiful running 1980 300D...which is 5 cylinder N/A Diesel with Auto tranny. The car has a bit of rust, but is very presentable and has no notable body damage. The odo says 161k miles, and judging by the way the car runs, I would believe this to be accurate. The motor absolutely purrs. The interior is not perfect, but not bad by any means. The car has a clean title.
Anyway, if any of you are interested...$1300 takes it!

Oh man. Perfect excuse to fly up there and drive back.
I was looking wantonly at a 67 W110 with an automatic and 220D engine in it. I know those 5s are ultra reliable and do 5-600k+ miles if kept maintained.
Interested to see pictures. email 'em to me if you have problems hosting and I will.

Right on.
What kind of fuel mileage does this beast get?

I'm not sure for mileage on this particular car...but I get mid to high 20s with my Turbo Diesel, and my 240D got 30+
So I would venture a guess at 24-25 city and maybe 29-30 hwy...

My buddy had something like this with 300,000 mile & it ran perfectly.
I think it was a 83ish turbo.

Nice color.
I'm still thinking about it. Might be visiting some places in Oregon during late July, but it might be too late.
