Just some info for future searchers...

I got my new RS wheels wrapped with summer tires and threw them on last night. I weighed my winter set and the summer set for comparison:


16x6.5 (wrx wheel) with 195/55/16 Dunlop Wintersport M3 = 35lb

16x7 ('00 2.5RS wheel) with 205/50/16 Falken FK451 = 35lb



I was happy to see that the summer set was the as light as the much-less-material winter set.

Here are a few wheel weights that may be of interest to other members

15" 6 spoke 91-92/93 SS alloys (by Enkei) weigh 15.5lbs each (according to my garage scale which was used to get all of these weights)

15" steel rim w/o hubcap weighs 20lbs

16" Forged BBSs (forged stamped on the face of the rim) that some V1-2 JDM WRXs come with (? dealer option) weigh 14lbs each.

17x7.5 Rota Actions - 18-20lbs (if I recall correctly - I have a loose one in the garage that I'll throw on the scale)

Tire Rack lists weights for tires in various sizes...

17x7.5" Rota Formel - 20.6lbs (my digital scale)

17x7.5" Rota SDR - 16.5lbs (wheelweights.com) - 40.6lbs with 225/45-17 Hankook W300 Ice Bears

17x7.5" BBS WRX STI OE wheels - 15.8lbs (my digital scale) - 39.2 with 225/45-17 BFG KDW2s

18x7.5" OZ/Prodrive P-WRC1 - heavy (21-22lbs)

19x8.5" Foose 5-spokes (my digital scale) - 29.2lbs (better have a V8!)

Enkei rally rim - ? model 15x6.5" - 12lbs
