Wheel bearing problem 91 SS

As the title says, On my 91 SS I went to replace my tired old ball joint
the other day, when I got to the removal phase I broke off the pinch bolt on the front right knuckle. So I went to a local subaru shop, there I had purchased a "Used" knuckle complete with a "used wheel bearing" .
I installed the knuckle and I started to hear a whoomp whoomp sound. I thought well I have a worn out wheel bearing. I went to another shop had the old worn bearing pressed out and installed a new one. I reinstalled the good knuckle and I'm still getting the whoom whoom sound + when I hit the brakes to come to a complete stop I hear what sounds to be a grinding sound.
What could it be??? Could I have boughten a bad(new) wheel bearing???? I'm going NUTS!!!!!
