I snagged a vf10 in good shape for $50.
So i thought I would slap up some pics in comparison to the stock vf11.
The vf10 has a bigger casing, and bigger turbines.
It looks like the hot sides may be the same casing, but the exhaust turbine is bigger and the angles are angled a lot different.
No its not installed yet.

Here is the backside... The vf10 is quite bigger... however the angle of the pics makes the vf11 look bigger... The camera (phone) was just closer to the vf11
VF-11

VF10
Check out the angle of the blades...
How does that effect performance? Spool-up vs top-end?

The trim of the blades does indeed affect the way that the turbo spools and holds power.
The VF10 is a nice turbo...with the vf11 turbine housing and the VF8 compressor housing.
The only real downfall is that you will max out the hotside of the turbo pretty damn quick.

You can tell the vf10 wheel is bigger than the vf11 wheel with your pics by looking @ the distance between the wheel & the wall of the e-housing.
The VF10s wheel is closer to the wall of the e-housing.
You could give the e-housing a mean port job to give it better flow.

The turbine wheel of the VF10 looks much less restrictive, meaning it might take a little bit longer to spool, but it won't choke the motor out on the top end so bad.

Or use electronic boost control and taper boost / waste gate opening after 5k rpm.

Well I never knew the 11 was THAT small! Shit, everyone says the 11 is small, and the 10 isn't that much bigger, but that's like comparing a TD04 and a TD05!
Yet here I am complaining that my 8 is too small for my needs.
