HEADUNIT QUESTION???

sO I have an aftermarket blaupunkt headunit installed in my 92 L and its above the original stock subaru radio. However the stock radio obviously doesnt work. I wanted to by one of those cassete adapters so i cud listen to my mp3 player. does anyone know how to regain control of the cassete player to use this adapter...or if both aftermarket and stock can coexist?? any help wud be great. Im gettin kinda tired of makin CD'S lol

sounds like you didn't install your stereo, as in it was there when you got the car?

why someone would put a new deck in without taking the old one out is beyond me, especially if they didn't set it up so both could work.

theoretically you could have both going operable, but that would require splicing all of the audio wires and also splicing and putting on a switch the power, to make sure you aren't playing both at once. unless you just want to always be hitting pause/mute on one or the other

anyway, just buy a radio adapter for your MP3 instead of a cassette one.

and pull out the old deck?: plus one for pics please
