Non-automotive related rant about my pending home purchase

Rant incoming........
Why in the hell,
after almost 2 months of having the offer, counter-offers and the frigging contract right in front of them,
does the lender have the loan approved,
and the papers drawn,
WITH THE WRONG GOD DAMNED DOWNPAYMENT LISTED!
2 days to closing!
Now we face having to have the loan re-approved, with the correct downpayment, and the papers re-drawn, which will most certainly cause escrow to close late.
To top things off, the contract states that that we owe the seller a $100 per diem for late closings. Good luck getting the mortgage broker to eat that one, I'll bet that my Realtor will offer to eat it even though it isn't anywhere near his fault. I won't let him.
ARRRRGGG!
This after I bust my ass to get all of our responsibilities and inspections out of the way early. JUST SO CRAP LIKE THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN!
Now, back to your normally scheduled postings......
