I despise universal o2 sensors.

If you buy a good universal sensor it is the same part number as the one with the plug on it. I contacted Bosch once asking them about the universal ones and they confirmed it.

I can't say the Ebay linked unit is any good though...

the sensor itself is the same, but universal means you have to reuse the old connector and you are adding another point of failure into the equation. Plus you have to make sure you do wire it up right. many people don't.

Well installed it. Got out the old one with a trusty torch. Checked out the ohms off 2 wires which gave a ohms reading and with the bosch sensor that was in it, it showed 5000-7000ohms. The one i bought shoes like 5.2 or 5.6. Totally different reading. Either way installed it and it worked no check engine light. Will report on if it gets better fuel economy. Also it seems to be quieter, the motor still moans sometimes. Doesn't smell rich like before which is the main thing I was looking to fix as well as getting the best fuel economy possible.

Been working great. I got over 400km and I only used 40 liters. Half the tank was on the old O2 sensor. Usually ill have only gotton 400km and need to fill 50L. I am just curious if I should unplug the battery for a hour or so so to reset the ECU?

fuck me I need to get a OEM. With my mom driving the car mostly city it's worse then the sensor in it originally!!! We were doing mixed city and highway but it wasn't as good as now. So it improved mixed driving, but made city driving worse. I am going to invest in a OEM........... I figure the savings in city driving BETTER pay for the damn O2.

Aw!! Don't ever go with this crap don't listen to me. OEM is only $90, now I wasted $30 for this piece of shit. Meh live and learn lol.

you wasted money because you bought a universal.
a direct fit would have been fine.
OEM or not direct fit > universal every time

Again this weekend went for a long drive got 600km. So I am thinking it is just the way my mom drives the car. Either way with the old one she was getting a bit over 400km compared to 300km.
