How many CFMs does the VF39 flow?
I have 405 CFM in the back of my mind for both this turbo & the 14B off an Eclipse.

Went through all 7 pages & 1000 posts & did not see info on the Vf39.
Maybe I'm just tired.

Seems it is about the same as a VF-34 or a HAIR less.

Googled it & the number that came up the most was 450cfm, which is odd because I heard that the Vf22 was one of the bigger IHI Subaru turbos & it flows just 435-440cfm.
At least I was right about the 14B.

I read that the VF-22 flows more than the VF-39, but not by a large amount.
But the lag is much greater.
I went with the Super 16G and have been happy with it. It is a bit more than the Vf-39, but not a huge amount.

I had a VF23 but sold that sucker a while back, I did not realize it was a b-bearing turbo or I would have kept it.
If you go past the copied & pasted turbo info you find EVERYWHERE you'll see a tuners perspective of the IHI line -
This guy says the difference in spool time between a VF22 & the Fastest spooling IHI is about 500 rpm. He also says the VF22 will reach 1bar -14.5psi @ 3000RPM
You can go to MRT link & see photos of the VF23 vs a 16G...(I looked @ these 2 turbos (90*16G) side by side in person & thought the 16G was bigger, but looking @ the pics the VF23 Comp wheel looks bigger than the 16Gs).
No CFM info on the VF39 though...
Here is the link!
