TMIC Flange

So I've seen a number of flanges that people have made to allow the stock bypass valve to be used with an 02 or an 06 intercooler.....

Some of them function just fine, others are beautiful!!! Is there anyway someone with welding skills could burn off a number of them for us without welding rigs???

My idea would have the BOV bracket with a 90 degree elbow outletting to the SAME size BPV tube so it would go together in a snap... just a few bolts and a strap to secure it....

Anyone up to it? and if so, mark me down as buyer #1 !

Thanks!!

If I had a mill with a rotary table I could crank a few out, but I don't.

You could buy a small piece of 3/8 aluminum, cut it out, find the tubing you need, fit it, and find a shop that can zap if for you.

...or someone could make it for me (since i have no tools 300 miles from my house) and make a few bucks on the side :)... i have no access to some good metal working tools :( ... but i do have a shiny intercooler sitting on my dresser mocking me every morning.... :)

Why not just grab a gasket from the local dealer?

i was going to bring down my intercooler this weekend.... then just take my calipers to it, and make a solidworks drawing of it and post it here.....

...but that works too ;)

If you dimension the gasket and tell me the ID of the hose, I can possibly cut a flange out of some .25" aluminum and have my buddy weld a hose barb on it.

dont really have time to read the previous posts, but I bought the adapter off of ebay. Actually I have a spare that I would sell for $15 shipped. It comes straight out, but I went to home depot, bought some really good epoxy and a sprinkler type 90 that fit inside the hose that goes to the stock BPV, and was just BARELY to small to fit into the adapter so I just epoxied it it (it would have needed something to seal it even if it was the "right size"). it doesn't leak, its in there very solid, works perfect for me. It doesn't look as clean as a a bought part by any means but it serves the purpose well. I can take pics if interested. If you want the part I could probably even make one for you but it would cost more for my time and the other parts. PM me for more info
