sounds like its starving for fuel, replace the fuel filter and run some injector cleaner through us and let us know what happens.

Maybe there is a issue with the TPS ( throttle position sensor). Can you still hit redline if you floor it aka 6500rpms?

it can still rev past that if i am in park or neutral. but here is the weird part i put in a new cd player and it let me red line in drive today, so i think it is a short somewhere. now my parking lights and dash lights wont turn on either, the guy who had it before me butchered the wiring harness for the radio so i dont know what is all screwed up. i guess it is good luck to me.

i'd hunt that person down first,

is your IAC hose connected to your bypass valve ok?

maybe change your 02 sensor...
or speedo is busted?

it has a new o2 sensor. the speedo is off a couple mile an hour but that shouldn't affect the shift. and what is a iac hose

The ECU gets its speedo signal from the spedometer itself, since its opereted by a cable. The "reed switch" is what sends the signal.

Maybe that got chopped somehow?

it connects to your large black "charge pipe"

that goes from your throttle body to your turbo intake outlet.

the bpv is underneath that
