Doctor asks me, "Is this your first attempt", and chuckles.

I laughingly sez, "are you so confident? You're willing to go there?"

It started out like any other night: A mid-July hail storm that turned the streets white, home-made Japanese Rice Omelettes and abstract ambition.

We head to the barn to pull a motor. I can't keep the Blacktop, Redtop, Bluetop thing straight. I think b/c the color that they write on the cover DOESN'T correspond to the nickname..... but this AE92 has the good one, whichever that is

We have no hoist, just brawn and brains. I usually supply the undiscerning force.

This was harder b/c of FWD. One time that sideways is no good. By suspending the motor and lowering the car after removing engine and tranny mounts we found enough play to get them apart.
Image

But even with wheels off we had not enough stroke to clear the engine bay.

So despite the objections falling on my challenged ears I attempt to be the hero. but with enough pressure even something that doesn't feel sharp will cut you up. These pics all do not capture it, thanks cameraphone  , but this cut is serious, I could see white sinewy stuff in there

The candy store is down the street, not across it.

Ha ha, like I said, it was my first attempt

I guess i didn't think I could handle the shame of being affiliated with that 92 Corolla

but the Legend of the 86 is mighty mystifying, let me tell you

+1.
I have a '85 Corolla GTS with a 4ag motor.

My buddy just called & told me they got a 4AGZE swap in & I'm thinking about going supercharged now.
I figure 15psi from a Cusco damper should make things interesting on my 2000lb Corolla.
I could also just slap on a turbo & use a HKS turbo manifold & eliminate the S/C.
OR Twincharge....

Not sure if I should keep the car slow & make one of the other cars less slow or even things out between my cars.
I figure this is the lightest car so a little power should go a LONG way.
