one cat pass e-test?

so i'm about to put a catback exhaust on (it will one day be a turbo back but not right now) so the extension pipe is going to replace one of the cats. can i still pass an emissions test with only one cat?

i'm also in the process of installing a water alcohol injection system and i've heard that some people have passed emissions tests running water injection with no cats at all. is this true?

i will be going for my e-test in under 2 months but already have the exhaust ready to install so i really don't want to wait but i dont really want to put it on then take it off and then put it on again.

thanks

i guess i'm going to have to be the guinea pig!.

on another note anyone know a site where i could get a piece of pipe that is about 10" long and 3" ID on one side and 2 7/8" OD on the other side? i'm not having much luck with my local muffler shops.

thanks

I've passed on my old car with no cats, but I ran an MSD DIS-2 and that helped, I'm sure.

Check it out when your done, that way if you dont pass you will have time to noodle over things and make corrections.
