I have f**king had it. Motor blew a headgasket last week.
Vehicle is for sale, as is, $4500 firm. Driveable at low speed, you can get it onto a trailer, or putter locally, but highway travel is impossible.
Just dropped $600 on new AC compressor & dryer. Partial black leather interior. 16" '02 WRX rims. EDM glass headlights.
See my post on the engine build for full details.
Limited time offer, CAR WILL BE PARTED if no one is interested.
PM me if interested.

Wow, sorry to hear about the new problem.
Did you ever get to turn the boost up on the car?

Bepa, I always respect your methods of turning lemons into lemonade. I'm sad to see this car, and engine specifically, go to anyone that does not deserve it. Fixing the head gasket is simple like bepa said, and would be much more fun than selling this thing.

That's the first thing I did...the way it was acting, I thought the T-stat had failed. I got it to work, but overheating again, losing coolant at an alarming rate. The coolant circuit was pressurizing, and pissing all the water out of the overflow. Actually popped the lower radiator hose off once, and yes, the clamp was tight. I was able to get it home carrying a full Poland Springs water cooler bottle (5 gallons, and I used every drop of it) and driving under 35 MPH, which kept the temp gauge off the redline.
If I revved the motor with the coolant tank cap off, water geysered out like a fountain...
I guess I will fix it, it doesn't make much sense to shoot the horse for losing a shoe.
