tranny fluid

ive heard that its good to run a lower weight tranny fluid for a couple hundred miles or so? something about it kinda cleans out the system? my friend told me this, anyone kno about this??

Tranny fluid is more or less tranny fluid. There really isn't a lower weight fluid. You've got dextron III & mercon as the two main kinds. Run dextron III

Josh,

He's got a 5-speed.

Don't run less than a 75w90... unless you feel the need to depart your ring and pinion teeth from one another.

There is nothing in the gearbox that needs "cleaning out"
