AWIC question....

I'm installing the AWIC and I need to know what you guys do when it comes to replacing the aluminum pipe that goes from the air conditioning beneath the intercooler? I know you would have to put a straight piece in there because the bent one with the filter in the middle is in the way of the installation. What do you guys use in place of that?
Thanks as usual,
Andrew

I actually used the n/a a/c line. It does not have that bend in there.

I appreciate it! This doesn't seem to be covered in anyone's buildup articles though...

I mention it in the thread I started for my swap

but haven't done an official write-up yet.

yeah its' sort of a double edged sword; if you use the N/A AC line it's closer to the downpipe; but don't be afraid to flex the line, it gives a good bit.

Yeah I figured since the downpipe is ceramic coated it wouldn't be as bad.
i'd be hesitant to do it with the stock downpipe especially with the cat there.

By the way, what is the pressure of the cap that goes on the top of the intercooler?

0.9 bar about 13 psi, same as the car radiator.
