FS in Canada: 5 speed Tranny

5 speed, Hydraulic actuacted transmission, in Great shape, just over 80,000km, Includes Clutch Fork and throw out bearing, It is out of a 1998 subaru RS.

The Tranny is Best offer, i back all my sales and offer full/ partial refunds on whatever i sell, I HOWEVER dont offer refunds for a transmission that was broken from being abused or you bought the wrong tranny for your car.

This will fit our legacys.


The tranny is in Good Shape, No lowballers!

Thats a cable clutch tranny... not hydraulic...

I didnt know they made hydraulic push type clutches.... Because thats a pusher, not a puller.

So basically its a different setup than our Legacys.

UM, the cable tranny's were pull type. it's kinda hard to make a pull type hydraulic set-up

Wow i feel like an idiot sorry, WRONG TRANY IM TALKING ABOUT!


It wont fit or legacyies, it is a cable, operated tranny

That tranny will fit an NA legacy. It would need to be converted to a cable clutch (just take the TO fork from the Legacy tranny) or the Legacy would need to be converted to hydraulic (bit more complicated involving lines and master cylinder).

It will NOT work with a factory turbo Legacy because those are pull type trannies. Unless, you were to change to a push type clutch and pressure plate, and remove the stock slave cylinder and instead hook up the one that is on the tranny for sale.

There are many ways to make these things work. Just remember that it's a 4.11 and the car it's going into needs to also be a 4.11 or be converted over to a 4.11 rear end. Good luck with your sale.
