hey guys, I am wondering if anyone lives close to an outdoors outfitter that carries ExOfficio. Only one store in my city has any of their stuff and they don't have very much, also through e-mails I was told that their website will not ship to Canada

I would really like their insect repellent shirt and pants for Africa

so if anyone would be interested in doing a shopping run for me this weekend and then sending the stuff USPS Global Express I would be grateful and inclined to reward you in some way

We have a handful of stores - Cabelas is one - in N. ID. If you do the 'leg work', I can go get it??

BTW, you a skier? '08 was Great!

by leg work do you mean call them and purchase over the phone and have it held for you? can i do that even?

I snowboard, and it's a sad story but i don't get out much anymore, usually just once a season. We had some great snow this year tho. You skied in Canadian rockies?

I'll buy it, I just don't want to 'find 'em', fair enough? You may be able to verify they have them online? Or if you give me exactly what you want - model/size/etc. I can call the locals that may not have websites.

I didn't need to travel north this last winter, snow was too good locally. I've skied the resorts just across the border, but not made it up to Sunshine/LL/Norquay. I also want to try Kicking Horse.

you rock man, tell me which store you have in mind and I will get on the phone with them to make sure they have exactly what I want and I will ask them to hold it for whatever day you are gonna stop in

You must come here, our mountains are that good. Sunshine is my fave but Lake Louise is probably a bit better if you are a skier and a good pow day at Kicking Horse will blow your mind

REI (Our US equivalent of MEC) should carry what you are looking for and they will ship world wide.

Also, try Sierra Trading Post. They are a major mail order discounter selling overstocks and discontinued colors. Again, they will ship to you.

Damn, Sierra is awesome with great prices, but every single ExOfficio product I want has a little note that says they can't ship this item outside the US

And from REI website: "Please note: BUZZ OFF products cannot be shipped to addresses in Canada"

ExOfficio is the only company I have found that is making stuff with built in insect repellant (BUZZ OFF line)... and they just don't send their stuff up here, probably hasn't been cleared with the FDA or sumthin

Hmmmm, starting to wonder if we're 'looking for trouble' w/this. Is the Buzz Off stuff illegal up there?

Please verify, and depending on your time frame I could order the STP stuff and send it up.

time frame = if i don't have this stuff in my hands by friday the 8th, it stays home and I never ever use it

verify = I wouldn't know how. I get the feeling that if I dug around I would find that it is "not legalized" as opposed to "illegal" if there is any difference....

that said, if you take the tags off and mark the contents as "returning clothes to owner" I am confident there would be no issue

Don't think I can get it shipped here from STP and then up there b4 the 8th.

Did you check those local #'s I sent? Did REI have what you want?
