NEW IGNITER MODULE J142

anyone know about these igniter
what the difference between
90-96 SUBARU LEGACY IGNITOR DIS4-03 IGNITER 22438 AA030 and hitachi IGNITER MODULE J142
both work for lagecy 94 turbo

One is probably for the hitachi ignition system, while the other is for the diamond coil pack/ignition system. I don't see any reason why they are not interchangable.

how do i know if i have the diamond ignition coil
doe it have the diamond form ?
i read somewhere ppl are usualy after the diamond pack for some reason that i don't know.

I don't know if it's true or internet lore that the diamond coil pack can handle higher spark voltages if you have an ignition like the MSD Dis-2.
