I will be at Subiefest3, next weekend, at the Willow Springs Raceway, in the desert of SoCal. Anyone else going?

Ok, doesn't look like there will be hundreds of first gen Legacy there. I will represent us, though, with honor and dignity, and talk a lot of smack.

Uh oh, race driver in another person's all-black car on track at Subiefest, danger!

Jamie said she was going to go , but she never showed up. I was going to let her drive my car on the street to get her opinion. I did meet Ciper and Jamal there. They are both very nice people. I said I was going to represent us well there, in the car show, and I did. First place plaque for Best Classic Subaru.

I was trying my hardest to replace that yellow pole. It seems to have worked.

I had a hard time finding Jamal at the event. He always had that entourage of women around him, so he was hard to see.
Subiefest--in my opinion: The SoCal, Nevada and Arizona Subaru crews needed an event in their area. There are a lot of them, and they are enthused. The producer is based in the northwest and it surely is harder for him to do an even not in his area. They had to recruit some more volunteers at the event, the Arizona group stood up and helped out as best they could. The on track activities were being run by Willow Springs, very experienced and they did a good job. As compared to WCSS10, Subiefest3 did not match up. WCSS is better organized, has more volunteers helping, car show runs more smoothly, raffle is much better organized. Onsite camping facililties at WCSS10, and the whole group camping experience is better. There are no high speed track events(time attack) at WCSS10, though. WCSS and Subiefest are similar but different events. Subiefest is trying to have the event at Willow Springs again when the weather is cooler. Having a different location every year is hard to produce consistently.
