What is wrong with the Monkeymobile?

Just started getting a bit of oil smoke out the exhaust the other day.

It doesn't run rough at all, just the smoke. Smokes a good bit at idle, as well as when I am moving.

There is a pretty good bit of oil in the intake manifold, and what seems like an excessive amount of blowby in the intercooler.

Pulled the DP, and there doesn't seem to be any shaft play in the turbo.

There was enough oil in the exhaust that it was dripping from the turbo->DP gasket onto the passenger's side CV boot.

Replaced the PCV valve, to no effect.

Compression numbers are all 148-150 PSI. The plugs all had a uniform amount of oil on them (not a great deal, but just enough to be noticeable as oil).

Coolant and oil look to be free of contaminants. No fuel or coolant in the oil and no oil in the coolant.

Any ideas? I was hoping just HG, but the oil in the intake manifold seems a bit excessive for that. Hoping the turbo (since I have a 16G waiting to go in), but there is NO noticeable shaft play.

Hmm...

You may try running some sea foam in the intake manifold to try and clean/soak up the oil and then run it for a little bit to see if things clear up. It'll probably smoke like a mother after the sea foam.

It's possible you sucked in a slug of oil from the PCV system into the intake.

It's the turbo.

It has since started leaking from where the center section attaches to the exhaust housing.

I tried some seafoam as well, so apparently great minds think alike.

Gathering the last few parts I need to install my 16G.

Now one of my friends is saying it may be a broken ring land behind the compression ring (which is why it still has acceptable compression).

Anyone have that happen before? Just seems kinda odd to me.....

It was definitely the turbo.

Replaced that with a deadbolt 16G i just happened to have lying around, and not the slightest hint of smoke.
