Well, I've been lurking on and off for about a year now, and coincidently I've also been driving my Legacy for right at a year, so I figured it was time to surface and say hi, and actually get some opinions from people who know what they're talking about.

It's nothing special, a 1993 Legacy L.

Here she was when I first got her a year ago, kind of sad and beat looking. It did have some ungodly ugly hubcaps, but I pulled those off as fast as I could.

A year and a good bit of work later, here she is in all her glory.

Unfortunately, most of it has only been cosmetic. The only real upgrade has been a set of KYB struts, and it is obviously in need of some springs. I know there isn't much I can do with a 2.2L non-turbo automatic, but I was hoping for some suggestions anyways. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, It'll look loads better once I get it sitting where it should be. Anyone have any recommendations on springs?

You can use whiteline springs. If you look in the suspension section you will see they are recommended.

+1 on some suspension & brake stuff.

As for the motor you could do a fresh tune-up (plugs, wires, oil/filter, PVC), drop in K&N ($40-50 (I think the Perrin foam filters are $30-40 & they work just as well as the K&N)), a lightweight crank pulley ($60-130), & Redline 75/90 in the front & rear diffs + Redline D4 in the tranny $60 (if your tranny fluid is changable).

The 3 engine mods should not cost more than $160 & should gain you a few HP, I'd guesstimate 9-10hp.

Welcome. Nice improvements.
The drip rail needs to be black, though, IMO.
I rode in a Leg w/ H&R's, and it was pretty smooth. Don't know what they cost, but might be worth looking into.
