Is there any way to fit the 92 tail lights and center light on my 1991 Legacy L Sedan? My center bar is cracked. I was wondering if there is any way to fit the whole package in. They are different but by how much?

Actually I looked into this awhile back. Knowing that the pre-92 tail lights are aweful aesthitically wise. The shape of the lights are the same except that they are not as tall on the pre-92 models. So I think face-lifted tail lights e'll fit except you'll also need a post-facelift rear bumper skin to go with it. This all pending if the new tail lights e'll bolt into the chassis and have the same bolt pattern.

A buddy and I looked into swapping. The entire light section is smaller in height on the 92-94 models compared to the 90-91 models. The trunk lid mounting, as well as the light portions. You'd have to do some major customizing to get them to fit.....even then....I don't know if they would look good or not.

I actually like the 90-91 lights better anyway, just personal opinion...

You need to change;

The trunk lid
The mounting holes for the lights
And the bumper...

you can't change the mouting holes for the lights.......unless you mean cut out the entire rear fender and weld a new one in of the correct body style......
