I would love to ditch the power windows on my legacy, is there any manual windows legacys?

N/A leggies i think.
Also Why would you want to that, unless your bulding a race car the weight wont matter.

The European DL, which was very similar to the Japanese-spec Ei model, was very basic; items that weren't offered were a tachometer, power windows and central locking, a radio, individual 60:40 rear folding seatbacks on the sedan, and AWD was not available on the DL

you'd probably only be losing like 10lbs. i switched my car from manual windows to power windows.
and the 90-91 Standard legacys (below the L's) which had unpainted front and rear bumpers, no a/c, and crank windows. thats what my car originally was. and they're not too hard to find either.

Ya, My car has very severe electrical problems. I bought the car from someone who was not very mechanically inclined. He tried to fix the heater core and cut wires out of his way to get to it. In Canada its not too easy to find AWD with the 5MT, so when I found this car I bought it regardless of the condition.
This is just my winter project.

Ah. I was curious about this myself as the electrical systems in these cars are usually extremely reliable. Maybe around BC you can find the base model cars with the manual windows, unpainted bumpers, and black tailgate trim, but I haven't seen one around me in a few years. Then again, they were never popular to begin with.

I'm not sure if many of the US/Canada legacies had manual windows. If they did, they're the base base model.

Wow, learn something new everyday.
I've NEVER seen a non-power window Legacy here in SoCal. I must have 100+ trips to the U-Pull type yards too.

Only the Standard in 1990 had manual windows in the US.

Speaking of power windows... what are the things to check/fix when the power windows get 'sick'? aka really slow to go up and down? Is it just a matter of greasing the window's rails or something else?

Usually just involves cleaning the rails period. Also check the pieces that support the glass they shouldn't be pinching the glass very much to support it, or else it will go up and down slow.

Find someone with an RS-RA and do a swap?
my Canadian 1990 N/A 5MT had power everything. But it was an L. I thought L was base model....
good luck

So there was a Legacy standard without A/C? I want a set of those heater/vent controls! I've been itching to ditch the A/C, but I don't want vestigial controls left in my car.

Probably still has buttons or blanks in their place. That's what they did on the GLs and it's cheaper to make the minimum number of changes between option packages.

From the tiny bit I can see in the above pic, it appears to have a different arrangement for the buttons and temp slider.

My car does not have A/C, it has a blank "button".
As for the european DL, they had an EJ18, and they always had 4WD, but manually engaged (According to my 2.2 N/A owners manual (includes all models))
