You mean a Profec B spec II EBC right...

I had one of these - it is a pain in the butt to set-up the first time & requires trial & error to get to the desired boost level dialed in.

Increasing the gain will increase the boost level at a given % increase

Set Boost = when the w/g or actuator will begin to open up.
If this value is too low the car will not respond as fast as it could.
If it is too high it will overshoot the desired boost level (I actually used to do this on purpose to get a boost spike that tapered down to my desired boost level).
I'd set this to about 70% of the desired boost value, see what happens & adjust from there.

There are last boost & peak boost functions that helps with setting the controller up.

The overboost protection feature work well- basically you input a boost value you consider dangerous & if the controller sees this value it will drop boost (you can adjust the boost drop from a few percent lower to actuator pressure).

Its been almost 3 years since I played with the Profec B so everything is fuzzy.
If I was scrolling through the headings everything would come back to me.

List each heading (in order) & I can tell you what it does.

ok sweet, i usually drive around on HI setting because nothing beats the sound of the subie rumble followed by a loud ass PSSSHHHH :D. haha. ok first let me explain my problem... if i floor it, when the boost REALLY starts to kick the EBC starts beeping at me, and wont allow the turbo to create more boost. Im not sure if thats cuz the turbo is maxed out, or if one of my peak settings or something is off....
here are the headings and what i have them at now
Gain= 30%
set gain= 130
warning= 135
warning(2)= L.80%
Peak= 252.
My mods are desnork, 05sti turbo-back(muffler swapped to a v-force), K&N drop in, the EBC obviously, and a turbo timer thats not hooked up :D. so if u can help me figure out what to put those settings at that would be a major help. what would you recommend for lo/hi for each?? thanks alot man

You realize the peak @ 252 = 25.2 psi right...
Hold the little silver button down while you are in the peak screen to reset it.

Just play around with the gain until you get to your desired boost level.
I'd suggest you do not pass 10psi without an intercooler.

Which brings us to set gain.
You have this set @ 130 which means the actuator will begin to get a boost signal from the solenoid @ 13.0psi.
Lower this to about 70 (7.0psi), & if you do not get a spike increase the # slowly until you do - then back it off until there is no spike again.
This is the psi level were you will get the fastest response from the turbo without overshooting your target.

Warning is @ 132=13.2psi I'd lower this to 11 for now.
Warning II is how much boost will be cut when you reach/pass the warning level - a big # either drops boost to actuator level or leaves it as is - play with this to see what happens.

Lo & Hi will have to have the gain, set-boost, & warning values adjusted for each level.
With the controller off you will be @ actuator pressure ? turbo you are on I assume a VF11 = 5psi.
I'd set low @ 7psi, & high @ 10psi until you are intercooled .
Once you are intercooled & have a fuel cut fix on the car - Off will still be 5psi on a Vf11, Low could be 10PSI, & High could be whatever is ok to run on the VF11 - ? 12psi.

ahhhhhhhh i c... slowly starting to make more sense... so why would it even say 252 peak if its impossible to get 25.2 psi outta that turbo? thats what mainly concerns me. the controller is alot more complicated than i would have thought but im slowly learning more and more about it... thanks

well you cant change the peak, like if i spin the knob it doesnt do anything like the gain and set gain, etc..

Pressing & holding the silver knob/button down will reset the peak value once you are in that screen (? if it is the big knob or one of the small silver buttons - but slight pressure for about 3 seconds is all it take (you can feel the correct button go in slightly).

You know you can get the instruction manual from greddy.com or whatever their website is.

I had mine on the SS a LONG time ago - ? what the setting were, but they were not hard to get to with a few passes up & down my local industrial park late @ night!

These tend to click which drives me crazy so I took it off & put a HKS EVC in the car.

I found that changing 1 screen @ a time & testing what the change did in terms of boost helped me to understand how everything worked.
