Another Mystery Connector

Post by Buffman »

While I just happened to read about that fan connector, I remmebered there was a connector left unplugged by the pass side of the car. I went out to investigage to see if it was the fan one.

It's not. Body is gray. It has white with green and white with red on one side, and then black and green on the other side. It connects to the Black box on the ABS pump. Anyone know what this connector is for? Wonder if it's why the ABS light is on.

Plug it in. Ill bet it was unplugged because the ABS relay was getting stuck. If it is you will find out when you connect it.

I take it if the relay is getting stuck it's going to effect how the ABS works? Is the relay easily accessible to replace?

Test to see if the abs unit works. Find some gravel or sand or wet grass mud you name it and slam on the brakes see if it works.

dude time to do the pads, maybe discs, and grease up the sliders! I can lockup my wheels in a emergency if I have to. I put normal discs all around, ceramic pads in the front, and normal ones in the rear. Flushed the old crap out with synthetic brake fluid, and greased up my sliders and made sure they were all clean, as well as getting a gasket kit (which comes with sldier grease anyways) and replaced most the gaskets except the cyclinder gasket. Awesome what almost $400 can do! :P

I just bought the car a week ago. It's been sitting in my driveway. The $300 tires were more important than brakes right now. Brakes are coming
