I have a brand new F1 Clutch for a WRX. I believe it will fit EJ22 motors but I'm not sure. I'm almost positive it's the same clutch on the ebay auction below.

I got it from a friend who sold me a motor.

$75 shipped

Sells for $213 shipped on ebay.

I have 100% iTrader feedback rating over on DIYMobileaudio forum and on ebay.

Nothing showed up but when I go to "edit" it's all there? I don't get it.

Until I figure out why nothing is showing up, here's a link to the same thread on Ultimate Subaru Message Board:

Ok well I messed with the links trying to get them to display only the small title I gave them and now they don't work at all but everything shows up in the thread now. I think I'll leave it alone then. I don't think that code works on this forum. I got it from the other forum.

Pics show up fine for me. Looks like a Dk clutch - isn't that who makes Exedy?

It says exedy in one of the pictures...

Hm, sure does. Looks like a exedy clutch with a spraypainted pressure plate. Still a good deal on a clutch tho.

I have no idea. The guy who sold me the motor told me it was an "sti" F1 racing clutch and when I looked it up on ebay the sti one was different but the WRX clutch looks identical to this one. He also told me the clutchmasters flywheel was for an sti and when I looked up the part number on the clutchmasters site it's for a WRX not an sti.

I just got my new Exedy OEM clutch in today and it looks almost identical to the F1 clutch. In fact, I think whoever is selling these things is just painting them and calling them an "F1 Racing Clutch" and selling them for a lot more money. It's not a stage one either. Same thing as the one I bought that's OEM.

There's only 3 differences I noticed.

1. The fingers on the Exedy OEM clutch have indents in them and the F1 fingers are flat.

2. The grains on the Exedy OEM clutch are more raised and larger. The F1 are more fine and smaller. First picture is the OEM clutch.

3. One of the numbers on the clutch discs is the same and the other number is different on both discs.

Exedy OEM - Exedy - T/M SIDE 8F17A

Both Have This Number - FJD024U

F1 - T/M SIDE 7M25A

I tried taking pictures of the numbers but I couldn't get any without a stupid glare over the number. But they look exactly the same, no difference in appearance.

I concur with that theory... I just put in an Exedy, and it looked identical except for the paint on the pressure plate... perhaps the spring rate / clamping force is different?

Those "indents" or "humps" (depending on which side your looking from) on the diapragm fingers will greatly strengthen and stiffen those fingers. The Exedy clutch will have a stronger bite than the F1 clutch.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't think the Exedy clutch for my 89 toyota 4x4 pickup had the indents.

I'm surprised this isn't getting any bites! It's a good price on an Exedy clutch!

$75 shipped. If nobody takes it for that much I'll just keep it as a spare. Lowest I'm going.
