http://www.king5.com/localnews/stories/ ... 0f6f1.html WOW its an SUV... Sucks for the subaru but how retarded did that driver have to be? I will feel bad if he had a medical issue or something. Its kinda crazy though. I guess they are guessing right now it was a suicide.

A kid I went to high school with a kid who died as a passenger when his friend drove his mommy-and-daddy-bought Audi through the front of a building. If the red light doesn't get you to stop, the building will.

Maybe when he replaced his struts he cracked open the brake lines and overtightened them where they attach to the hard line stripping the 10mm nuts causing a fluid leak which only came to light after a short drive and then he crashed into the building.

They should have took better pictures. Looks like he hit at a good clip, but as you can see it stopped crumpling at the firewall and the rest of the car seems to have not crumpled as the door didn't bend. I wonder how it looks from the front. Sucks to see the poor SS like that

Definitely seems like survival was more likely with a seatbelt on. As you can see the cage held up. Then again the overall force at such a speed?

Americans don't understand 'station wagon' anymore, only SUV or the new hip term, 'crossover'.

Hope he wasn't a reader of my book trying to imitate Dante. Don't want to be responsible for a dead wagon. Though if he WAS a reader and someone made the connection, the publicity, however local, couldn't hurt.

Holy wow.
Just..... wow. I feel sorry for that guy. And even more so for the people in the gym. Great that they didn't get hurt, but I'm sure a few of them didn't mention to the reporters that they totally shat their pants.
And um..... For all those SUV nay-sayers, give me one good reason why a Touring Wagon isn't an SUV? Think good and carefully about posers like the Chevy HHR before answering that.

SUV has become a synonym for a sissy, resource-sucking vehicle. Ironically, going by present useage, I'd say the Touring wagon has too much sport and utility to be an SUV. I don't apply the term to real off roaders, either - those are still ORVs to me. ORV...bullet holes...I don't know about this, Mikey.

Not until you give us one reason why all 'SUV's are nothing more than tall wagons w/ alternative nomenclature.
