Anyone had a good recommendation on where to get decent rear CV axles. The one has no clamp on it and has grease residue on it, and Im beginning to think that's the source of my noise in the rear.

All the wheels were tight and virtually NO play in them at all.

$140 is a bit much for the ones from Autozone.... Nothing performance oriented, something that will last a little while.

Luckily the fronts were replaced by the original owner

like I've mentioned before I'm new to subies, but what is the interchangeability of CV axles? Napa online doesn't show rear CV axles for the 92, but if use 95 legacy they show rear axles availabl.e

I paid $60ish from Napa about a year ago. That was after I brought the core back.



I killed two Autozone axles. I think they are crap, but I've been told they come from the same place. No trouble with the Napa units so far.


Keep in mind, with bad wheel bearings, there rarely a bunch of slop in the wheel. You won't feel it by giving the wheels a shake-down.

Spinning the hub without the axle in it can usually nail down the culprit bearing.

I spun the hub by hand and it felt decently smooth. I'll have to get the axle out of it to to check the hub some more.

NAPA rebuilt axle has been treating me fine for a couple years (knock on wood). Be sure it comes with a nut and roll pin.
