OK. I have posted soo much stuff about this mod and i still dont have the answer i seek. If this mod has such sick spool and response why doesnt ever one run this combo??? Like really instant boost with a weee bit more CFM's and you dont need to swap out injectors! Really how great is that!

Now does anyone have this mod ineffect right now! Is it as good as i explain it to be? Does anyone have a compressor i can scoop up for cheap!

OOO and if you ran this mod with a ecu upgrade do you think you could hit 220whp!

People i need your fantastic input! This mod is sketchy seeing that i know no one with this mod! Please tell all if you know all!

Thanks!

I don't know what more I can tell you...it works great

I ran 15 psi with the setup, and it spooled very quickly and made very good power

Probably not a really common setup because it isn't very well known

What is this mod?

Hmmm ok then. Thats all well and good.

Now 94SS_Canada this mod is basically a compressor swap. You take a 87-88 T-bird Turbo (VC32) to my knowledge. You only part of the turbo that you will use on your subi is the compressor side. You take the compressor of the T-bird and slap it into place of the stock VF11 compressor!

Dubed the T-bird mod. Its uncommon because, no one runs it and the odds of you just finding the 87-88 t-bird turbo is CRAZY hard to find!

I found a guy on kijiji that was selling a bunch of t-bird parts. He wanted $280 for the turbo!!!! HELL NO tooo much $$$

But ya. I would be nice to know more about this mod.

hmm, my friend has two good t-bird turbos, should see if he wants to sell!

by the way they are a ARresearch T3, there are two different types of turbos they came with, the manual tranny ones are different then the autos, the A/R's are not the same.

altron23: No no! The turbo MUST be out of an 87-88 t-bird. For those short years they used a Ihi turbo which can be adapted to the VF11. The 86 and down T-birds used the T3 turbo which can be used in the car but can NOT be hybrided to the VF11. Aswell the T3 is mucho harder to install!

The stock injectors don't get you very far on the stock turbo as is. How are they going to support a turbo that flows a decent amount of air beyond stock.

Until 1987...after that they were an IHI...hence the reason they fit on our turbos

Aerotech this turbo is perty sweet!. But my question is will such a compressor really fit my leggy turbo?? reguarding the fuel issue, people run td04's and thats a weee bit bigger turbo and people have run stock injectors! so im not seeing problems there.\

Other than that! FUCKEN DOPE Compressor!!!

I asked the seller, he stated you must do some machining of the compressor mating flange on the turbo to get this to work, so I guess it's not exactly a bolt-on :( Still interesting, though...doesn't sound like too much hassle.
