another one of those subaru thingsthat was kinda meant to be...

i have my battery in my trunk and i dont remember if the hose gets in the way but be creative, it'll work.

i started by pulling the bottle out and taking the pump off.
then i extended the wiring for the pump a couple of feet.
then i cut a hole in the yellow lid and stuck a hose inside and taped the shit out of it to seal it and keep the hose attached to the bottle.

then i pulled off the bottom fender cover and placed the bottle inside with the hose coming out the hole pictured above. put the cover back on.

i still need to bolt the hose to the wall so it doesn't stick out like it does. but it defintely free'd up some room in my engine bay.

when i fill it i just grab a filler cone to and i'm good to go.

Nice. I'll be relocating my washer fluid bottle as well when I swap everything into another shell.

There is a part on early JDM GC's that does EXACTLY that. I actually have one, so I will try and post up pics soon.

Pretty much how my Mazda has its tank located. If you don't want to try to find a JDM part, you could probably get a Mazda 3 tank or just the neck or cap. The cap has a hose attached to it that goes into the tank with a hole at the end in the top of the cap so that you can put your finger over the hole and pull the hose out to use it as a dipstick.

I was going to do this mod last night but then I realized I don't even have the stupid reservoir cap so it was pointless to do until I find one. I also need a overflow tank cap.

I actually realized ( or forgot) the tank is for the coolant reservior overflow.

BUT I bet you could put a pump on it.
