Senator Barack Obama.

Good job to all who went out and voted, whoever you cast your vote for.

I propose a toast: A toast to the campaign being over.

I voted for him.

I was also impressed by McCain's concession speech, not impressed by the idiots booing in his crowd.

Glad everything's over. I'm tired of all the damn commercials, tired of all the junk in my mail. at least the stuff in my mail works for getting leaves to burn

I'm glad that 3+ phone calls /day from the republican committee are over. And those bastards leave messages, too. And all this coincided with my job search, so I actually got excited the first time I had 6 new messages

Love seeing the evangelist kooks wailing and gnashing their teeth over the loss of their power base. SUCK IT!

Amen brother!

My personal opinion is that neither candidate was really worth a shit.

The biggest thing that scares me is the similarity of a cult & Obama's speeches, which are very good & charismatic, despite having little content, and the blind devotion/enthusiasm of Obama's supporters/"followers".

I heard way too much we can, and we want this, but nothing on how to do it. Anyway, it's done, let's see what the man can do. It's put up or shut up time.

I suggest those of you that follow religions pray for Obama.

There is still a lot of Racial hatred in the United States, Yes hatred, saying "racial tension" is sugar coating things.

There IS still an active KKK. There ARE still white supremists, There ARE Militant African-Americans.

To be clear. I don't see myself as a racist. I believe in judging the individual but their actions, not the color of their skin. and personally, there are some whites out there id like to see with and extra whole in the head (mainly politicians and CEOs of large corperations).

While I hope he has a long and fruitful term, I cant help but wounder how long before some whackjob takes a shot at him.

There's even a website called something like, haspresidentobamabeenassassinatedyet.com. It's a joke, but there's a sad truth in it. It'll really disgust me if some whack job kills Obama when FRIGGIN' BUSH went 8 years with only one attack by a retard when Bush wasn't even there. Would've been funny if he was there, though, and pulled an Andrew Jackson on him. For those who don't know, a would-be assassin tried to take him out, pulling two pistols, both of which misfired. Andrew Jackson then proceeded to beat the guy with his cane. Not our best president, but that's definitely cool.
