They've been trying to do this in Minnesota for about 15 years. NIMBY has stepped in every time though.

They have recently approved the construction of the Worlds largest Mall just 20 minutes North of my city in a small town community built on peace and quiet

this is despite the facts that a whole rivers worth of water would be consumed by it AND that the North Americas biggest Mall is only 180 miles north...........

Hmmmm. The Mall of America here in the Twin Cities isn't the largest mall anymore?

Yeah, they seem to have an need to build the largest of everything. Maybe that is related to an inadequecy of some other nature...
