How to pass-through a wire from dash to engine-room

I am installing a remote-starter. Starter model is Ultra Start G11t and installed on the Legacy L Sedan Auto 2002. It cannot work without tach-signal, unfortunately. So I connected the tach-wire to the ignition coil in the engine-room through the window. Then the remote-starter works perfect.
Now I need to pass-through a wire from driver side under-dash to engine room. I checked the under-dash but cannot find any hole to do it. How can I do it?

There's a grommet somewhere. If not, you can run the wire between the dash and the side trim by the door, then between the door and the body (the weatherstripping will conform around it), be between the fender and inner body, through one of the holes in the inner body, and into the engine compartment.

I used a rubber grommet. Put a wire through it and plug the grommet again. But it does not fit again.
Thanks.

You may need to cut a little bit away on the rubber grommet to get it to fit.

is that the rubber whole near the pedals, cause i did not know that is what it is called but yes use that i have for all my wiring. just use a coat hanger and tape the wire around it. you will find the best way to put the wire on the coat hanger depending on which way you are going.

its much easier to pull it out and then install it back from the engine compartment side. It seals just fine that way. Its pretty thick rubber so you'll have to make a small slit with a knif or even use a drill to drill a hole in it.
