Looks like I had the same thing happen that happened to Larry.

Too bad I gave my wire away to him :)

The wire from the ECU to the knock sensor is cracked at the connector plug and even testing continuity at the bare wire, doesn't look good. So it's cracked some place else as well.

Anywho, that wire is all one piece, and I would need it from the ECU pin to the connector. If someone has a front chassis harness I'd buy the whole thing and strip that wire myself.

Let me know if you can help.

Thanks

That sucks Josh! Unfortunately, I've got the same problem with my engine swap. The stock wire was electrical taped back together by the previous owner.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I think that the older these cars get, the more commonplace this problem will be. We need to find another option besides replacing the entire wire from another car. What do you think of using some thin shielded wire?

I have thought about that. I'll have to do some looking and see what I can find. If I can find something, I can pull the connectors off and recrimp them.

My other thought is using either the crank or cam sensor wire. There are some extra wires in there, but I'm not sure if that really matters.

I was thinking about this last night, and I have the Link harness which has two wires for knock sensors. I believe they are shielded, if so, I'll probably use one of them.
