OK, so I'm going to be swapping an EJ22T into my 94 impreza L. I'm pretty sure the stock fuel pump won't be enough. But a stock sti fuel pump should be adequate for a lightly modded EJ22T, right? Also, does any turbo subaru downpipe fit?

Yes, an STi pump will be more than plenty, that's what I'm going to use.

I think WRX/STi downpipes fit with no problems, I'm sure someone else can chime in on this...

WRX/STI dp will work dandy but why spend $125 which everyone seems to think they should charge for them and spend $150 for a Ebay 3in bellmouth dp. Also as he said the STI pump will be plenty but depending on how much your paying you might as well get a brand new walbro 255 fuel pump for about $100 shipped. Just throwing it out there.

I agree with both of those statements.

And if you have the EJ22T fuel pump (and it's in good working order) use that over the STi fuel pump. It flows more.

Rumor is that the the stock EJ22T fuel pump is better than the early USDM WRX, but not the STI....although none of them is in the Walbro league.

Here are some examples of Subie FPs : From HERE
What are the OEM fuel pump sizes?
2002-2005 WRX fuel pump 130 lph
2006-2007 WRX fuel pump 145 lph
2008 WRX fuel pump 155 lph
2004-2007 STi fuel pump 145 lph
2008 STi fuel pump 175 lph

EJ22T fuel pump ~135 lph

list of top feed injector sizes for the 2002-2008 WRX and 2007-2008 STI:
OEM 2002-2005 WRX 420 cc
OEm 2004-2006 STi 535cc
JDM STi "pinks" 550 cc
OEM 2006-2008 WRX 560 cc
OEM 2007-2008 STI 560 cc

EJ22T - 370 cc

Plus an STI FP is cheap on NASIOC...but you'll want the install kit:

Walbro fuel pump install/conv kit: 400-791 (I made it work w/my STI pump, too)

Walbro pump: GSS341

I am assuming that the 255 in the walbro's name refers to the amount it pumps, correct?

Yes. 255 liters per hour.
