Phone Scam

I kept getting this phone number calling my cell phone that I didn't recognize. Well thanks to the lovely Internet, I did a reverse look-up on the number on this site: http://www.anywho.com/qry/wp_rl
AnyWho.com is a part of AT&T's Directory Service and is free of charge to use.

I put the number in (4079674799) and came up with "Wyndam Vac". So then I did a Google Search on that name and found this site:
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-407-967-4799

It's a scam and when I called the number back, I told them to pull my number immediately from their call list & to never call my phone ever again.

People need to find a better way to spend their time than calling around offering phone scams!

It's illegal to cold-call consumer cell phones for any commercial purpose. Should have reported them to the BBB.

Weird that the scam doesn't seem to involve any real attempt at tricking you (but then again, I used to think the same thing about Nigerian money transfer fraud until it made the news).

They are trying to solicit (sp?) vacation packages which are typically B.S. deals anyway with promises of pricing they can't & won't back up.

Many things are illegal without being overtly obvious to the general person these days.
