I have a 1991 the shell from a 1991 Subaru legacy . I bought this car it had a blown motor . I pulled the motor for another project . swap this with a ej22t or a ej20 and this thing would be fast as hell $700
I put some work into the shell
i painted it with a similar material to rhino lining
i gutted it only the two front seats remain one it a leather racing seat with STI embroidered on it the other is a seat from a 1998 wagon
i installed mud flaps
mounted a fire extinguisher between the driver and passenger seat
there is a scoop cut into the hood with mesh installed
push button ignition
brand new plates and tags good until nov 2011
i have alot of other parts for it like a koyorad radiator , the back seat , and some other parts

How are your tabs good until 2011? Don't they only issue 1 year tabs?
Maybe you should get a better close up shot because that looks nothing like rhino liner. Looks more like flat black rattle can.

maybe he means inspection tags. they can do 2 years on those. As for the price, i'll keep my mouth shut.

no they are two year tags . i never said rhino lining i a material similar to rhino lining but significantly lighter . it is spray on truck bed liner not rhino lining. ill get some pics of the paint and of the tags .
they are two year tags but i had the car registered new plates , vin check , and i got the title . it had a lost title when i bought it and it was registered in washington . the tags are good until nov 11 2010 . i registered the car in 2008 when i got the car .
i tried to get a picture of the texture . and pictures of the tags
the texture

the tags year tag

why should i give it away whats wrong with the paint ?

Wow way to mess up someones thread. If you don't like it, you shouldn't mess with the kids thread.

What do you mean stone age? Legacy started the rally subaru era and is still used today. I have one and rally it. Colin Mcrae? 555

Geez guys, are we turning into NASIOC or something? If someone is selling something and misrepresenting it, then call them out on it ONLY if you are 100% sure they are wrong. Until such time, assume they are correct or until someone else disproves their thread. So if you just want to bash someone for no good reason, do it some where else but here please.
Anyways, $700 for a car w/o a motor is not a bad at all or anyone who is looking to get into the rally scene for the firs time. Yes, you'll need to put much more into the car if you want to compete hardcore but you have to start somewhere right?
G/L with the sale.

thank you dropdfocus . i have seen rally car shells with nothing more than the car im selling . and all it has was a slight roll cage a fancy paint job and 4 fog lights . and it sold for 4k .
i put some time into the motor yesterday and if this thing dosnt sell soon im either gonna try and sell it with the motor or im gonna keep it and fallow through with my plans .
as far as im aware the only thing that i have been incorrect on is that the tags where good untill 2011 . they are goood untill 2010 .

Maybe that's a regional thing. Here in Colorado I can pick up a straight runner for $500-1000. I wouldn't pay more than $300-400 for a rolling chassis, especially one with a cut up hood and questionable wiring.
As for the rest of it? I just find it humourous that the two guys with fewer than 100 posts between the two of them are bantering back and forth about the other noob who doesn't get it.

wtf dose number of posts have to do with selling a car . just because you have a large number of posts dosnt mean that you know jack shit . any idiot can make a bunch of posts . the only reason i joined this fourm is to try and sell the car but instead i have a bunch of jackasses commenting on license plates , paint , and now the number or fucking posts that i have have wow .
and did i ask you to buy the car matt monson ? no i didnt . so why did you comment it , you live in colorado anyways . it would be stupid for you to even be interestd in this car .

This is just the kind of response I expected from you. Your posts from the get go have been defensive, hostile, profane and barely legible as English. You choreographed the direction this thread took. If you bothered to take 30 seconds to figure out who you were cussing out you would know that I am one of the first people around here to jump on people's shit when they get out of line and treat the new guy rudely. You've brought how you are being treated in this thread on yourself. Good luck with your sale. You are going to need it...

Dude. you are getting burned on this thread because you titled it "rally car shell". I know I for example opened this thread expecting to see a REAL rally car shell (ie. completely gutted, roll cage, frame reiforcements, etc) What you need to understand is that there are people on this board that actually do Rally driving or co-driving and have been in real rally cars. What you are selling however is a gutted legacy L with a bad paint job and no motor. Not to mention that you can pick up a legacy L that runs with a decent paint job for 400-500 bucks! and spend 1 afternoon gutting it.
List it for what it is and you wont get any shit from members!

And if you want to give someone in Colorado shit for looking at your thread have the courtesy to put the car's location in your title. If I weren't shopping for a builder I wouldn't have even clicked on your worthless thread. If I had known where it was the chance that I would have clicked would have gone down substantially. Though if it had an FIA spec cage, not only would it possibly be worth $4000 like the other one you saw sell, but it might be worth my while to come up there and get it. Some of us do actually build racecars out of these and are willing to put money into them to make them worthy of racing.
At least now I know that you're a douche and will be watching for your ill mannered responses in the tech forums. If you pull the shit your are pulling here in tech where I moderate I will delete your posts on sight without warning.
