My 1995 Subaru Legacy L Sedan (wheels 7/21)

I purchased this Ruby Mica L sedan in April of 2006. Prior to my purchase I had been consuming our family's '95 Legacy L wagon for a little over a year. The wagon was the first car I ever got to drive, although I had already owned a few cars before purchasing my sedan. I really love that wagon, but I wanted something a bit more sporty and certainly a car with a manual transmission. Too many dollars spent and hours laboring, it is still a work in progress. 210,000 on the original engine and tranny.

I began sourcing a lot of JDM & GT bits
Image

I put on some fresh suspension with some help from RalliTEK
Image
I also had sourced a very rare zenki JDM front lip that I got painted to match. I also tried some '98-'99 2 piece headlights that were regrettably not an upgrade. I also put in the JDM tail lights
Image
Image

I got the GT rear wing, rear bumper lip and side skirts all installed. I also went to a zenki JDM grill and JDM projector head lights as well as the zenki JDM fogs. I added an STi axle back and am quite pleased with the sound. I found some original ADVAN Touring Competitions on Craigslist that I use during the summer

Note: Power folding & heated JDM mirrors

I found my wagon a set of low mileage GT-B Bilstein's. It handles so nicely
Image

Over a year ago I found a very rare kouki JDM bumper being offered by J-HOT. This is the only one I know of in the United States with the optional OEM parking poll. Its going to be used only during the summer months.
Image

Image

Soon I found some '04 WRX heated seats to replace the crappy, nonsupporting seats. I also put in the leather door cards and a leather rear seat. I have since replaced these with leather front seats as they sat too high. My plan is to save up for some Recaro SRD's or EVO IX MR Recaro's

Late model JDM MOMO wheel with cruise control stock perfectly cut in
Image
MOMO knob, redlinegoods.com shift boot, RalliTEK short shifter. Note the STi mats
Image
I had this '04 Black WRX carpet waiting around forever
Image
Finally got it installed! I felt it really cleaned up the interior, especialy with the light colored dash.

How much of an upgrade were the JDM projector headlights?

If this is a build thread you've got in the wrong section.

I like the stock skirts and rear lip with the JDM lip much better than the JDM side skirts and rear lip. They look too bulky and out of place.

Other than that though that's a nice car. I really like those front seats, how much were they?

Its not much of a build journal, more just to present my car on this site.

I'm not sure I understood your comment about the skirts. The GT sideskirts are identical to the Japanese market ones. The rear GT bumper lip is also identical to its JDM counterpart on 2nd gens. I added all the skirts (F,Side&R) as the L model came fairly bare.

I paid $200 for the heated limited WRX seats - in my opinion a steal.

I was saying I like the stock skirts in this picture along with the JDM front lip you were talking about.

Image

But these ones look too big and bulky and they don't fit the car very well. In my opinion the stock skirts looked better but the front lip you put on goes well with the stock skirts.

Got some UK17's / JDM Legacy B4 wheels. 225/45 Dunlop Direzza DZ101's to come.
Image

Installed my kouki bumper with factory parking poll. I also got some polished aluminum STi embroidered license plate frames. The correct, kouki grill is coming soon along with some Hella Supertones to mount behind the grill.

 Wow that´s one of the coolest Legacies I've ever seen!

What does the parking poll do?

by L-Tuned BD
Thanks for the kind words everyone!!!

The parking poll (not that I use it) retracts and is used for tight parking spots in crowded cities in Japan. Its simply a marker for where the edge of your vehicle is so that you can park ridiculously close to other cars. Its a rare factory option that is of no use to me. Although, it does add mad extra JDM points at car shows!
